Here are the plain stools (the plan is to add a cushion to the top - i would like to use them for extra seating outside in the summer, and potentially inside beyond that):

The pillow in this photo is on my couch, along with green pillows. So, if I wanted to move these indoors I would like them to coordinate with this. Looking at it together, is it too many circles if I go with the blue ikat dots? I think I like the linear look of the neutral chevron on the right side. BUT I want something a bit punchier since these will be used outdoors as well.
Am I hoping for too much from one little cushion? haha Should I have one set for outside and one for inside? I like the look of the navy in the room, but I think maybe something striped or chevron would be the way to go.
Help? What do you think?

my vote is the bright yellow ... only if you are keeping them outside... what I would really suggest... do two covers for each. Yellow for outside, grey chevron for inside but you know me... I always just say buy...
Whatever you decide vote out the quilted. I bought a variation in yellow and when I went to iron out the fabric creases...guess what...the quilting disappeared.
Love the yellow for outside and grey chevron for inside. Perhaps double sided cushions is the way to go? Flip them as the mood strikes you!
I actually like the navy trellis but the yellow is awesome too! Can't believe you found those on the curb... :)
I am with everyone else... make two or make them double sided... they would look great double sided. Grey chevron for inside and yellow for outside!

I vote for the bright yellow trellis - I think it would work indoors and out. Great find!
I think stripes are tough for round cushions unless your seamstress is a REAL pro....dots are totally forgiving....just my 2 cents!
Oh my gosh, are you a genius at picking fabrics, or what? I like the navy trellis because green and navy are SO awesome together.

My vote is navy trellis! I love the look of the navy and I'm not super crazy about the dots. Looking forward to seeing what you do!
The yellows and grey are calling to me - I think I like the neutrals best!
