Giveaway!

Well friends, the benefits from BlogPodium just keep on coming! While I was at BlogPodium, I spoke to the Blurb book people, and loved what I saw. Do you know about Blurb?

Blurb is a publishing platform where YOU can easily design and publish professional quality books. I asked the people at Blurb for a bit more information - are they photo-book specific? Who should use them? How customizable is it?  Blurb answered:

"When I say books, I mean anything from a photo book outlining your last vacation to a full-blown novel. Blurb is especially useful for creative types who are storytellers by nature because it enables you to customize every last square inch of your book. From the photography to the fonts, the design is entirely up to you"

You could make photo books, an instagram book, cookbook, notebook...the options really are endless. Here are some great examples of what creative folks have managed to churn out:

Love the idea of making a family cookbook with all of your favourite recipes!

A wedding book is SUCH a great idea - perfect place to put all your shots, and a great gift for your parents, new parents-in-law, or bridal party / groomsmen

Or you could do a much more modern take on the baby book... I have also heard of people making
"year books" - photo books that capture everything the family has done that year (what a great way to make sure your photos don't just live on a computer!)

Now that you know a bit more about Blurb....the exciting stuff happens....they are willing to offer a $35 credit to the lucky winner of my giveaway!! It's up to you what to use it towards...Here's how to enter:

1. Follow Interior Groupie (see my "follow" button to the right) and check out Blurb's website for all the fantastic book options you can do
2. Leave a comment below telling me what kind of book you would make, and what your inspiration is (recent vacation, wedding, family reunion, awkward teenage years, etc etc...)

That's it!
You can get an extra entry for tweeting about the giveaway (make sure to CC @InteriorGroupie and @BlurbBooks). Don't forget to come back here to leave a comment telling me you did that!

The deadline for this giveaway is midnight (EDT) JUNE 6th.  I will announce the winner (chosen at random from the comments) on Thursday June 7th...good luck!! *make sure to leave your email address if it's not connected to your commenting profile* This giveaway is from Blurb Canada, therefore only open to people ordering from the Canadian site (sorry US and International readers).

Love blurb! I bet they wer fun folks to chat with. We used the 5x5 book as Christmas presents for the grands covering Averleigh's first 6 months. They always send out great deals with their newsletter and we got 3 books (the other for us) shipped for the price of 1. I really appreciated the smaller format since I could do collage pages with all the crappy iPhone pics we had from the months in the hospital. The software is pretty intuitive, but set aside a good amount of time if you have any control freak tendencies....

In that case, I'll enter yours! I'd love to make a book for our honeymoon pictures that we've barely looked because they aren't printed. I'm bad at printing pictures / never do it!

I LOVE Blurb - I recently used them to make photo books of every vacation we've taken over the past 5 years, including our honeymoon!
Their (free) software is fantastic and lets you customize as much of the page as you want, or rely on their templates. Yep, I'm a big fan!
I am planning on using them to make a baby book when our little one arrives, and to start making Family Yearbooks going forward.

How fantastic! I would definitely make a recipe book for all of my grandmothers recipes, make a bunch of copies and give them out to our family. My grandmother turns 90 in July and can no longer cook, but it would be wonderful for her recipes to continue on!

This is a great giveaway. I've made a few of these books to document vacations - and they make really nice gifts too. I think I'd probably document my crazy 2012 year!!

I WANT THIS GIVEAWAY!!!!!

When my daughter turned one I made her a book using an online publisher that was all about her first year of life....I wrote it like a story and included tons of fabulous pictures. Now she's almost 3 and loves going through the book and talking about all the people who are in her life. I am about to embark on the same project for my son's first birthday in August, so this would be PERFECT!

I have also used Blurb before to make cookbooks for friends who are getting married- we got all the brides' girlfriends to send in a recipe and a picture of themselves with the bride. It was the perfect gift!!

I've been wanting to put my travel photos into separate books but always wanted to stick to one company so that the quality and sizes could stay consistent, and Blurb seems awesome!

I've still got photos from my trip to Egypt in 2009 to print!

I'm already a follower - of course! ;) I would totally make a book with the photos from Halle's first trip to Florida/Disney! We have so many great photos and I think a book documenting it would be so fun!

I love their square books. I would make either a recipe book or a book of photos of my kids. I've made these for family and clients but never for myself - would love to though!
