Cool beans

I hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was pretty busy...Saturday we did running around (including me going for a new license and health card picture - which was done in 15 minutes, that MUST be a record), baked, did groceries, and checked in on the progress of a move for friends of ours moving into the neighbourhood. They were having an issue with a box spring and couch fitting upstairs, so the Mr. ended up on the ROOF of a U-Haul with the other guys, pitching both items through a window. Fortunately, that was a fairly simple answer to the problem so they now have everything in the house!

Saturday night we went to see the Hunger Games...and the theatre's system BROKE DOWN in the last 10 minutes. How utterly frustrating for 2 non-movie people to be watching (and enjoying) a movie only to have to go back to another showing to see the end! Torture I tell you...

Sunday my parents stopped by for lunch and to oooh and ahhh over our kitchen. They also got a peak at the newest piece of equipment to join our house:

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that is a ductless A/C unit (you have to use ductless if your house has rads / hot water heating instead of forced air). Goodbye window air conditioners; this puppy will keep us cool in the summer. It's at the top of our stairs and the idea is that it will cool the air upstairs, and the cool air will fall to cool the main floor. We don't need the house freezing in the summer but this will definitely add to comfort when it's hot and humid outside. The Mr. is PRETTY excited about it (and so am I).

YAY! We have 2 of those in our house - one at the top of our stairs and one in the kitchen. It doubles as our heat in the cold months and works great! They are awesome - you two will NOT regret it!

I want one of these for our upstairs rooms. We have forced air now, but the upstairs stays so darn hot because the rooms are tiny and cramped.

I love your post title. My daughter says that all the time and I think it's the cutest expression:) You definitely need to stay cool in those hot, sticy Toronto summers although I secretly think after your record setting warm winter you might get snow in July.

So jealous! How fabulous . . . with condo rules we can only rock a window unit.

I wish I had the need for a ductless airconditioner but alas, I live in a permanent airconditioner! It’s very exciting to have comfort cooling though!

That is one nice split type air conditioner. You made a good decision of opting for it. For one, it consumes little energy compared to a window type air conditioner. Also, this type of air conditioner is less demanding with regards to maintenance. Good job!
