Wandering decor

I spent my Friday afternoon wandering a lovely strip of home stores in the Summerhill / Rosedale area on Yonge St here in Toronto (and hoping the menacing clouds didn't turn into rain and ruin my newly-trimmed-blow-dried-hair). Good news on both accounts - I found some wonderful inspiration items and managed to get home with hair that looked as good as it did when I left the salon.

L'Atelier was my favourite home stop of the afternoon (the tying favourite was Patachou, where I snacked on a delicious pain-au-chocolat). L'Atlelier has such a wide variety of items all set up in multiple rooms throughout the store. It's like walking through a really beautiful house overflowing with gorgeous items. Here are some of the items that caught my eye:
This is a beautiful little outdoor part of L'Atelier. Don't you wish you had a magic garden like this?
And a place large enough to put this mirrored piece?
This display was really neat in person - the two at the front are spheres with magnifying glass for the clocks.

Simple but cute numbered metal boxes

They had a good number of Moroccan-inspired pieces - will keep an eye out for things like this at Homesense!

Love the strong black and white of this graphic frame

So that covers my favourite store on my little venture - part 2 coming up tomorrow with some more finds.

The perfect way to spend an afternoon, visiting a favorite shop.

Why do I always feel homesick after I read your blog:) Vancouver has nothing quite as awesome as the stores in that area. Looking forward to part 2.
