Sarah 101: Season 2

Are you all loving Sarah 101 as much as I am?? I did a bunch of posts last year on some episodes from Season 1, but from what I've seen so far, I am looovvvving Season 2!

I haven't seen all the episodes, but the ones I've seen I think better reflect the needs of the people featured in the episodes. I found in Season 1 they took a lot of chances, and they weren't necessarily ones *I* would be pumped about living with. I also love how we are getting more Sarah and Tommy quips, as well as "meeting" some other people from their team. Getting insight to the process is just as exciting as getting to see the final design.

Here are some examples of season 2's winning designs so far:

Beautiful projects, aren't they? And totally liveable...

Make sure to tune in on July 10th for the big reveal of one of our very own blogger's Sarah101 experience! Janice from Life Begins at 30 is part of the show this season, as Sarah and Tommy designed "Baby Poutine" (now known as Luca)'s nursery! Can't wait to see that one...

What do you think so far of this season?

PS - If you've missed any episode (like me) it looks like there will be a Sarah101 marathon on Sunday July 8th from 9am-12noon!

I'm totally on board with your pick Heather!! Don't you just love this season? I just finished watching the two latest episodes and I have got to say the show actually changed what I thought of the two rooms from just looking at the pictures.

I so thought I didn't really like the kitchen and crazy about the bedroom from the pictures. After watching the show, I am now crazy about the ideas from the kitchen episode and still love the bedroom but not as shocked about the transformation compare to the kitchen.

Mind reader. I was watching tonight thinking, last year I always missed the show but saw Heathers recap... Only thing missing was the great Tommy lines. That tile in the bathroom of the last pic you've got ther AMAZING!

Again I've basically missed them all, but saw tonight. The kitchen, not for me but I still like the ideas. The floor planning I think was lemonade outta lemons. But that bedroom blue + poppies uh yeah I was 100% sold from the fabric swatch alone. But I took a bit of scale exception with the headboard, nightstand, lamp combo. I get the need and the shape on the lamp was awesome, but all together that part felt crowded to me.

Nut really, tommy Sarah combo pretty tough to beat

Thanks for the tip on the upcoming marathon; I missed the first two episodes and I'm keen to catch up (and I hate watching them on my computer. I need the HD!)

I agree (and am greatly enjoying) that this season is much more approachable. I found that Season 1 had an "That's not what you want; I'll tell you what you want" vibe, and wasn't sure I liked that Sarah overrode her client's wishes in almost every scenario. She's obviously the expert, but if someone used my money to decorate a room top-to-bottom in a color I expressly said I hated, I have to be honest: I'd be MAD MAD MAD! This season not only feels friendlier but also more collaborative between Sarah/Tommy and clients, which is nice. Harkens back to the softer, fuzzier days of Design Inc.

Whoa. That was a rant: sorry! Anyways, love your picks and I'm a HUGE fan of Carlene's kitchen, too, which aired tonight. Can't wait to catch up!

Agree with all of the above... I'm enjoying this season so much more than season 1. The 'grown up condo' was gorgeous. I also loved the clean modern master bedroom.

Missed it, but LOVE that kitchen. Ooo, the herringbone (which you know I love - have in my kitchen) but X 100 and the driftwood-inspired island. Pinned for my future beach house, lol.
